District Attorney Meeting regarding Excessive Absences

The families of Los Angeles High School who have missed more than 10 days this school year are required to attend a meeting at the school on Tuesday November 27. This meeting is a part of the school's overall effort to improve student attendance and prevent future dropouts.

The meeting is organized by Pupil Services and Attendance Counselors as a way to return absent or truant students to schools. Families will learn about the academic, legal and financial costs of student truancy. The meeting will include speakers from the Los Angeles Unified School District and the L.A. City Attorney's Office.
