Memoir
Wow...I remember this day like it was yesterday. May 11, 2007. Getting ready to go to the starting line for the 400 meter race. As nervous as i could be, I stood next to my opponents and wished them luck. On your marks, get set, and go were the demands of the official. The gun shot went off and my race began. My heart was beating faster than ever. I felt the pressure of the opponents and the intensity that was being built from the crowd as they grew anxious to see the finishing results. I wanted to win this race with all my heart. Thanks to Coach Holland and Coach Franklin I learned how to concentrate and dominate my race. They taught me the strategy of listening to my opponents foot steps and this helped me a lot because I heard them coming. I sprinted the last 100 meters with all the energy I had left. I finished in first place and was Amazed to receive the news that because of that race, I made it to LAHS 2007 Hall Of Fame... Thanks to all my coaches, my teammates, my friends, my family and God for being my motivation!!!
